mDIS can be used across a wide range of applications, such as pushing content through internal information screens in a conference centre, scheduling and displaying digital out of home (DOOH) advertising campaigns across multiple sites, providing a passenger information system on transport networks and even acting as a health and safety notice or compliance board at an industrial site.

More than just a combination of a digital signage player and a screen, more advanced than an e-noticeboard and more specialised than a PC, the Navaho system is intelligent and modular. Specifically designed to information share, mDIS is infinitely scalable to fit your company’s exact needs.

As all software development is conducted by Navaho’s in-house experts, mDIS can be expanded by the addition of bespoke modules or apps to display any number of specific informational requirements. For example, mDIS can be linked to a GPS to provide on-screen locations, or the wayfinding module can be used to provide directional aid in a large building, mall or complex.

mDIS for Transportation

This stop, next stop & real-time passenger information.

Navaho has developed a specific module for the transportation industry, meaning that mDIS can perform functions that provide real-time, dynamic passenger information.

mDIS can display route ladders, journey times, This Stop and Next Stop information, safety announcements such as “mind the gap”, live traffic information, interchange and connection information and related transport timetables.

The system can also provide additional information for travellers to ensure engagement such as weather updates, RSS newsfeeds, social media walls and advertising messages. Antisocial behaviour can also be discouraged by playing live CCTV footage from the transportation vehicle itself.

Navaho also provides engineered screens for transportation systems that can be fitted in conjunction with the vehicle manufacturer or added as a retro-fit.

mDIS for Hospitality

Wayfinding, conference schedules and location maps.

The Navaho mDIS with hospitality module is perfectly suited for use in venues where visitors are large in number, enabling quick and efficient information provision.

mDIS can not only provide wayfinding, 'you are here maps' and directional information, but it can also be linked to existing third-party hospitality scheduling software options (such as NFS) or combined with Navaho proprietary diary/calendar software.

This integration allows room scheduling to be displayed automatically, and as an infinite number of screens can make up the mDIS system, real-time information can be shown outside conference rooms, in lobbies, restaurants and receptions simultaneously.

The hospitality module comes in addition to the existing mDIS functionality, so running safety messages, advertising messages, corporate videos and promotional imagery is a standard feature.

mDIS for Health & Safety

Health & Safety alerts, updates and incident boards.

The Health & Safety module allows critical safety information to be displayed to a workforce in a clear and unmissable way. Specific templates are available to show important updates such as days since last accident and fire evacuation information, Navaho can even customise templates to match your company's brand identity.

mDIS for Health and Safety supports organisations in reporting compliance as it provides an audit of what messaging has been shown, how long it has been shown for and how many times it has been shown. This allows companies to demonstrate good governance and ensure that all employees have a chance to see all relevant Health and Safety information.

Screens used within an organisation can also be zoned to ensure only specific and relevant Health and Safety messages are shown – for example fire evacuation points, PPE reminders and manual handling can be shown on factory screens, whilst fire evacuation points could be shown in the office along with correct seating positions at desks.

As with all additional modules, mDIS for Health & Safety can play a number of different media types such as video, music and images.
